The Collaborative Research Programme (CRP) is driven by industry presenting project concepts in research areas that may lead to commercial benefits for their products.
The focus of these projects is not on a pre-determined solution, but on pushing the boundaries of research knowledge towards commercial reality.
The creation of a collaborative research project goes through various stages, as defined in the CRP Guidelines.
These stages are organised to initially define what the needs of industry are and then lead to open discussion on the research between all stakeholders, industry, NZi3 themes and research providers, before a final project scope is defined.
